Busy Month,
I will send out an eblast after the show committee meeting, which is this Tuesday, with information about recording Ain’t misbehavin’. By then, the gold standard recordings should be up on the website and we will know more about the schedule for the video. The gold standard recordings will have a counting track included at the measures that require a change of tempo. We’ll talk more about that on Thursday night and have a chance to sing through it together so that you understand the counting.
We’ll also continue working on Route 66 and Soon. Make sure you have access to the music for both. They are on our website.
Our second Musicale was so interesting. I’ve know Honey for more years than I can remember but never knew about her hidden talent. She makes amazing, personalized greeting cards. Kelly showed us her new and impressive website and explained her goals. Kathy explained her extensive role in creating and producing ETHS publicity and alumni publications. I think she needs to write a book. Ann sang a totally weird and curious song from her childhood and Mary shared a recording of a song sung by Joel Frederiksen called From the Morning. I counted to 10 as taught to me by my father. Emily listened in as she ate her lunch between students. If there is interest in another Musicale, as I call it, in February, let me know.
