Here is last weeks tongue twister to start off your week, thanks to Emily and Brette. We’ll try it again on Thursday.
Who put the pep in the pepper pot or the pop in the popcorn popper?
Who put the pep in the mustard jar or on the vinegar stopper?
It’s good old fashion P E P, the kind you cannot doubt.
Silver lake, silver lake, peppiest camp around!
I’m trying hard to make the audio recordings easier to make. The leads should be fine singing along to the lead directing video that is on the Members page on our website. Remember to hold the “o” in radio for 2 beats. We’ll work on that this coming Thursday. It’s not a long song so it shouldn’t take you long to make a recording. Better to send one in and let me listen to it now so that if you need to rerecord you will have plenty of time. We don’t need to rush this. If the 14th is a stretch for any of you to make the audio, please don’t panic. The date is a guide not a mandate. Let me know if I can help.
The ritards in this song make this much harder to sync with all the parts. A new 4 part recording will be up by mid week so you might try singing along with it as well. It is a better fit (though not perfect yet). When Emily finds a break in her schedule, she will put it up.
If you make a recording and mess up a few measures, you can just record those measures again and send them along with your complete song and I can patch it.
I really enjoyed directing the songs during rehearsal so I think we will continue to do that. Might even try It don’t mean It a thing this week. I’ve never directed the entire piece so this might be a challenge for all of us. Something new and fun I hope.
We’ll also work on Soon.
If you feel like contributing to the warm ups. Please speak up. I like to see what you might bring to the rehearsal.
If you are interested in another Musicale, late February, let me know. So far I know of two interested persons.
See you Thursday.
There is a board meeting on the 15th so save the date. I will post the link as soon as I hear from Helen.
