Hi Everyone,

Are you ready to move on to the next step or are you still making your audio recording?  The deadline for the audio has been extended a week to the 21st of Feb.  But some of you may be ready to make your video.  Under video information  on our home page you will find a short video to explain how to wear the scarf wrap.  Some of you may find it helpful.  The costume for the Ain’t Misbehavin video is the purple scarf wrap over the chorus black blouse with long sleeves, the large rhinestone pin and the oval rhinestone earrings.  Lipstick and make up that works for you.  Take a good look at your video before you send it in.  Make sure the background is not cluttered .  Check for light switches that might lurk behind your head and be distracting, for example.  Or maybe your unfolded laundry is on the bed.  Hasn’t happened but who knows.

You can  then wetransfer your video to Judy.  She is already hard at work.

If you have questions about recording your audio or making the video, please ask. If you don’t know who your tech buddy is, Terry probably has the answer.

One last thing.   If you send in your video in vertical (portrait) mode instead of horizontal (landscape),  Judy will not be able to use it.  If you have questions about what that means you need to ask.

I listened again to the It don’t mean a thing audio and of course I found places where I wasn’t quite right and one is in the coda where many of us have been having problems.  I plan to redo it and hopefully get it right this time.

I do like the new format of my directing combined with breakout rooms and relay singing.  It was wonderful to hear Sway sung so beautifully and right on pitch and synced amazingly well.  Every one of you is capable of singing parts of a song and your fellow chorus members really enjoy singing against your part so please volunteer. It adds so much to the rehearsal.

We’ll continue work on all of our songs and just enjoy being inside, warm and cozy on these winter nights.

Alice
